The D series of wire strippers is equipped with wire brush or Fybrglass wheels as per preference, to enable the efficient stripping of wires in an array of applications. The strippers can easily strip wires insulated with enamel, film or magnet insulations.

The wheel stripper is suitable for use with a range of wires with diverse cross-sections such as round, square and rectangular, as well as with insulations such as ML, Polythermaleze, Dayglass, Formvar, Isonel and so on.

Use of Fybrglass wheels facilitates excellent stripping results. The wheels have a high velocity rotation, which when brought into contact with the wire surface creates high frictional heat. The frictional heat makes the insulation on the wire extremely soft, which is then wiped away by the nap of the wheel. The final result is a clean, smooth surface, completely devoid of nicks.

The nipping action of the numerous bristles in wire brush wheels, cuts away the insulation on the wires, providing a slightly rougher surface of insulation-free wire. Since these wheels are more abrasive as compared to the Fybrglass ones, they are more suited for use with large-sized wires which require rough surfaces to aid future soldering operations. Wire brush wheels are capable of removing fabric or glass insulations too.

The most crucial aspect of optimum stripping results is selecting the right stripping wheel grade.
